A delegation of dog owners and friends of the Fort Woof dog park will be presenting a gift to the Fort Worth City Council tonight. Friends of the park are invited to attend the meeting and sit in the Fort Woof section (look for group with the dog.)

"Tsunami," a Chinese Crested dog, was elected Fort Woof Mayor for 2008 and will bring a cash gift to the Fort Worth City Council tonight.
Fort Woof “Mayor” Tsunami, the Chinese Crested will make a presentation to the Fort Worth City Council of a $7,000 donation plus a ”Fort Woof wish list” of improvements. The meeting should last about 30 minutes and will be held at the Council Chambers at City Hall, on the 2nd Floor, at 1000 Throckmorton in downtown Fort Worth.
Advocates of the park request dog lovers attend, saying “Your presence will send a message to our city leaders that the public loves Fort Woof. Fort Woof is a city facility. The Fort Woof Community needs to express their appreciation, seek continued support for Fort Woof, and make the Council aware of the need for mprovements. We need to let the City Couincil know that citizens want Fort Woof to be supported by the City.” For more info, call Jason Smith 817-721-6056.
