A raincoat/suit would be a good investment, good point Grandfather. Though I have a car I can drive in wet weather, I don’t always want to.
Down here in the more temperate areas we are more likely to know the name of companies that fix the AC than weather-gear suppliers. Do you have any suggestions for a brand/supplier that has served you well?\

I am sure you have heard of rainsuits. They are good for serious bike riders and anyone who has to be out in the weather no matter what (workers, backpackers, canoe campers…). Yes, they can be expensive, but as always wise shopping can help with that. Your strength and vigor described in this bike ride is amazing, but four hours of college wet is just not good for the health. And if it happens very often the thrill of beating the elements will pass and it could get tiresome. GF

I hate being wet! I guess an umbrella in your backpack wouldn’t have helped much while peddling! Maybe you need to get one of those hiking rain ponchos. Thank God for hand-dryers! At least you can laugh about it! It’s all good.
