To me it seemed like a miracle, and to tell you the truth, knowing my general lack of backing-up activity over the years, it really still does surprise me. Life is, as I realized when I found the photos, far better than I expect much of the time.

I’m so glad that you understand. These lost photos were the worst part of the burglary. Although I lost a lot of writing, too, there were other copies of that, especially of the most important pieces, but the photos seemed to have been lost utterly.

These pictures are a great find!! it reminds me of those good times. Great that you see happiness in them all.
