Okay, Bill I've decided I want to see "Fight Club". I'll aks my husband if he can order it from Netflix.

He's already seen it once, hopefully he won't object to me watching. Meanwhile, we're planning to try "Matrix" this week. Yeah, never saw it before.

lol @ Sonja :D ... I'm sure you don't WANT to know... But women will be far better off in their relationships if they understand more about men. :)

Maybe now that she's got her very own puppy she'll head out to the Fort Worth Dog Park and see who's out there. Could be a good addition for our upcoming feature "where to meet singles in Fort Worth."

Your problem is that you are in FT. Worth and not DC:)! Plenty of dog guys here. Strange though. With all that open space around the metroplex, one would think that there would be plenty of dog owners. Dogs, after all, thrive on open space.

Wow thanks for commenting. It was worth going out into the Twitterverse and hunt you down David. This has suddenly made me wonder: what about me, do I have a cat-person history? Well, of course, my ex husband is a cat guy now but actually when I met him he had a pet goat. So ... no pattern there. Another guy I dated had a dog, and I think my husband actually would have liked a cat but he's allergic. So with me, no pattern. But in TCU's case, there does seem to be something strange going on.

Thanks for pointing this out Bill. I guess I'll have to see "Fight Club." No matter that I"m thinking I might learn something about men I don't want to know.

I bet that those listed are not the only people you've ended relationships with - just the ones you singled out for being cat people...just a guess.

I'm guessing that, as much as having to do with their choice in pets, it's just that you haven't connected with anyone on a serious enough level yet...and so were driven, or drifted, apart.

For instance. I'm a cat person...AND a dog person. I've had tons of both in all combinations..Trish, love of my life, is a dog person who owned a cat when I met her.

Dog people, in my experience, who are JUST dog people are of two kinds. They either revel in the doggness - don't mind messes, smells, etc...or they are very meticulous care-giving sorts who don't mind all the extra work.

Cat people, on the other hand, are independent. If you have dogs, going out and doing things is a bigger hassle. They have to be taken out and fed and played with. Cats will use the litter box, eat out of a self-filling feeder, and could care less (most of the time) where you are.

In my life, most of the relationships that didn't work out were dog only people...

Some of the most active and interesting people?

They owned cats...

Curious, eh?

Guys are being cultivated as "Cat People". Go watch the movie "Fight Club" if you want to understand what's going on.

Basically, every reason for them to be "Dog People" has been removed, and the American Male population is either Evolving or DEvolving, depending on how you see it.

Hey, two of my favorite male professors (Chance and Perry) have dogs. Obviously they were young at some point. I'm sure you'll find some dog-type men eventually.
